3rd-5th Grade Activity: Safe and unsafe secrets

Objective: Help children understand the difference between safe and unsafe secrets.

Materials

  • Printable "Safe and Unsafe Secrets" worksheet (Download Here)
  • Pencils, Pens or crayons

Instructions

  • Explain the difference between safe secrets (e.g., a surprise party) and unsafe secrets (e.g., someone asking them to keep something bad a secret).
  • Distribute the "Safe and Unsafe Secrets" worksheet.
  • Have children complete the worksheet by identifying safe and unsafe secrets.
  • Discuss their answers and reinforce the importance of telling a trusted adult about unsafe secrets.
