At Radiant Shepherd, our mission is carried out by a dedicated team of passionate individuals united by a shared vision to protect vulnerable children and bring an end to child trafficking. Our team works tirelessly to illuminate the darkness, fostering hope and change through education, advocacy, and partnership.

Demetria Damian is the founder of Radiant Shepherd, a nonprofit organization dedicated to illuminating the darkness of child trafficking through education, advocacy, and partnerships. Married to her high school sweetheart and a proud mother of four, Demetria’s journey toward starting her nonprofit was deeply personal and purpose-driven.

Before founding Radiant Shepherd, Demetria served as the EVP of Client Engagement at a marketing firm. However, the pandemic prompted her to step away from her career to focus on homeschooling her children and reimagining her family’s path forward. During this time, her lifelong passion for helping trafficked children led her to seek volunteer opportunities. When those doors didn’t open, a profound moment of reflection and faith inspired her to create her own organization to fill the gap she saw in the fight against child trafficking.

Since then, Demetria has been fully dedicated to building Radiant Shepherd and partnering with like-minded nonprofits to support their critical work. While the long-term vision includes establishing safe houses for rescued children and forming a dedicated task force, she remains focused on the steps necessary to grow the organization and make a lasting impact.

Driven by faith, determination, and a heart for vulnerable children, Demetria is committed to being a beacon of hope and change in the fight against child trafficking.
